Note: At this point in time registration is not required for access to the the entire database. That being said, some information may become restricted in the future. Also, your registration will help me stay in touch with fellow researchers and aid in collaboration.

This is the starting page for the Fleser, Bogart, Layne and Tate genealogy research available on SGnTN. You can get to this page by clicking on the ROOTS tab along the navigation bar which is present on every page within the site.

Though research has slowed lately, I do try and update my information as time permits, so check back often to see if any new details have been added. You can find the most recent changes by clicking the icon.

I'm always happy to hear from relatives (no matter how distant) that have found my research useful, and I'm especially happy to accept additional information or corrections to existing data. If you discover any records that you believe are in error, please help me correct it by clicking the Suggest tab on individual pages. This helps me quickly find the record that may contain the error. Methodologies

It should be noted that I began this my research with no real consideration for formally documenting every fact and figure as some more serious researchers tend to do. However, this does not mean that no due diligence was applied before accepting data as accurate. I've done my best to insure that the data presented is accurate, but, sadly, I simply have done a very good job of documenting my sources. I'll try and do better in the future, but in the meantime you'll have to find additional sources to corroborate the details found here. If you have a question about my sources for a particular entry, please feel free to contact me and I'll do my best to track down where the information was found and hopefully make note of it in the database as well.

Privacy

As of December 1, 2006 I am restricting public access to only those individuals that are deceased, or those born more that 75 years ago. As the United States Census is released to the public 70 years after it is taken, 75 years seems a reasonable amount of time to wait before making my records public.

If you would like access to these records, please create an account for yourself with the understanding that you must be willing to allow yourself and your connection/s to the tree to appear in the database (the privacy rules above will apply), and also provide your real name and a valid email address.

Software

This site is powered by Darrin Lythgoes outstanding The Next Generation of Genealogy Sitebuilding ("TNG") software. I cannot recommend enough Darrin's outstanding software not only for it's ease of use and feature list, but the man that stands behind the software has a spotless support record. I've never dealt with anyone who is as commited to satisfying his user base as Darrin is. If you're thinking of creating your own genealogy site, by all means consider this software first.

An idea of some the lines that you may find data regarding can be determined by looking over my personal pedigree (Casey Fleser). It's also a quick way to see where there are holes in my research.
