Their entire development ecosystem is abysmal. If you ever use any decent Blackberry applications, it was due to a developer putting forth a monumental commitment that they will likely never recoup their expenses on. I've been saying it for 6 months, RIM should have gotten into bed with Google and made a push to convert Blackberry into the GPhone. It'll never happen. Android? Meh. Time will tell.
