<description>I have a lot of these apps. And I use them for different stuff like a bunch of colleagues in the office. The relationship to each is very different.

DevonThinkProOffice is like my business mentor, encouraging me to look higher and find relationships. Kind of like someone I work for or a place I go when I need to sit and think and analyse. Usually after the fact, when a project is mature.

Together is the best set of smart buckets out there catching whatever I throw at it. It&#039;s like a really smart assistant who follows me about filing stuff.

VoodooPad? VP is like a mate I work with who&#039;s probably pacing around, drinking coffee, who can deal with whatever I happen to throw at them. He&#039;s the guy I want to mind the shop when I&#039;m gone. There&#039;s something cool about VP, it&#039;s not uptight or formal, it&#039;s got style. Yes image handling could be better but I love the wiki nature and I love that stuff I gather as well as my own writing are on the same page. Its flexible and appealing and you can use it for output too. Gotta love that.

I use two applescripts which are set up as Quicksilver triggers to send text to either TaskPaper or VoodooPad.

TaskPaper is another text+magic+no messing kind of app.

I love em both.

I send tasks to TaskPaper and info gathered or thoughts or phone conversation transcripts to VP, it can function very well as a kind of daybook. Docs, images, web archives go to Together.

<description>I don&#039;t like the way voodoo pad deals with images, and even pdfs, compared to other applications.

Don&#039;t get me wrong, I own vdp and I it might be the mac application I love the most. But for me to use it for gtd it would be because I want to force it to do it, not because it&#039;s the best tool (for the way I work and what I need).
