My little experiment over at blogelo began to take it’s first tentative steps yesterday, thanks mainly to the readers at Nashville is Talking and members of the Rocky Top Brigade. A big shout out to all of you who stopped by and cast some votes!

Yesterday morning when I came into work I noticed that I had a couple new members so I popped over to the Spy page to see if anyone was casting votes and there were a smattering. justjohnny had made mention of my post about Nashville’s Top 10 blogs and the KnoxNews blog had picked that up. So a few people had popped by poked around around and left. I figured that was the end of that

After lunch I checked the Spy page and saw that kleinhac was up to his usual tricks. That is to say, voting his site better than everything else. Well fadeddata noticed and couldn’t resist voting down klienhac’s site versus everything else. It’s plenty of fun just watching those two, but then I noticed Busy Mom and then cwage and andy. So with 5 people voting, the Spy page was going crazy, the shading in the various lists were changing a deeper shade, everything looked like it was working for the most part! Woot!

I gotta say I was pretty excited watching it run yesterday and a wee bit nervous. Fortunately nothing caught fire and (for the most part) it behaved well.

Later I noticed that Brittney had made mention of my Top 10 post on Nashville is Talking (a tip of the hat to Ms. Brittney) which is probably where most of the traffic came from. And at the end of the day roughly 550 votes had been cast on blogelo!
