Nashville Flashmob?
OK now this is very cool. If anyone wants to assemble a flashmob in Nashville, let me know. I'd love to be a part of one here in the Music City. Any ideas for what we could do? Oh what fun we could have with the tourists!

Had any ideas for this yet?
What is a flash mob showed up to ask for a table at the Hard Rock or the Wildhorse?
Or showed up at a local softball game or golf course and chanted something related to a different sport. i.e. "What do we want? Touchdown!" for 5 minutes, then dispersing.

Oh yes I have and several volunteers too! Not quite mob numbers, but we are getting there. Anyway, was thinking the mob could gather at the Wildhorse and meander out onto the dance floor and and do a great big "SALUTE!", ala Hee-Haw back in the day. Then fade away (just like Hee-Haw). What do you think? Or something involving a mob around the giant aquarium out at Outdoor World at Shopryland.

Casey, You know I HAVE to do something like that!! It is just in my nature to cause some type of controlled chaos for a moment. Just let me know when and where and I'll bring a small mini-mob of my own.

How about a mob going to a restuarant and handing out $1 each to different folks?

Casey,
I think we should have it at a location that is very publc, easy to get into and easy to get out of. Whatever we do has to be fairly easy to do so everyone can do it at the same time. I almost like going to Oprymills more than anything else. Some things we might incorporate are as follows: Putting on tanning bed goggles. I trimmed some down one time to only the eye sockets. They are pretty good for shock value. If you are a fan of Monty Pythons, you probably know about the Dept. of Funny Walks. That would be easy to pull off and draw quick attention. We could also all be eating at the food court and at a pre-ordained time put on our goggles and carry our food trays towards the center of the food court chanting or singing something, and then leave when we all have reached the middle. Maybe we could chant "I've got new socks on" as we are moving towards the middle. That came from a list of 50 things to do on an elevator. Just some thoughts.

I'm definately interesting in starting a flash mob in nashville. I have friends who are interested, so I can also bring a little crowd of my own. i was thinking of doing something like having everyone go to the same video store and ask for the same movie or something. Just a thought...
Let me know if you are planning anything.

Looks like we're trying to get something going for Saturday, August 16. Time and details will be forthcoming on the Yahoo group by Thursday or Friday (at the very latest). I will also be sending out an email to everyone on my list (which includes some of you who have posted on here).
We'll keep the final announcement within the Yahoo group and via email, so keep an eye out.
