I had started to make this a light-hearted jab at all the gloom we've seen this month. And then I get a message from my cousin, while I'm composing this, that my Aunt Denise, who has been ill for some time, passed away early this morning. My condolences seem so insufficient, but I offer them to her family and friends. Especially my Uncle Charlie. I know she meant the world to him. We'll miss her.
